The Changemakers Foundation is looking for young people to join their Future Cultural Leaders Programme.

Changemakers are young people who lead positive change in their world. Anyone can be a Changemaker. The Changemakers Foundation exists to discover, inspire, develop and connect Changemakers.

Who can apply?
We are looking for young people aged 16 – 25 from Berwick, Northumberland and Newcastle who are looking for a challenge. The Future Cultural Leaders programme is seeking young people who would enjoy working in organisations that value a young person’s ideas and opinions.

Purpose of the Job:
Lots of organisations care what young people think and want to involve them in what they do. At Changemakers, we believe the best way to listen to and involve young people in organisations is to employ a Young Advocate for 10 days over 6 months and support them to advocate youth participation at their chosen organisation. This means that you will decide with the organisation what your work will look like and then you’ll complete a project to help the organisation improve how it works with young people like you.

Opportunity to get involved: Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums: Creative Partnerships - North East Regional Museums Hub

Creative Partnerships is looking for a young person who is outgoing and enjoys communicating with a range of people. We hope that the successful candidate will be able to organise and facilitate discussions with other young people; influencing the way we work with young people on creative learning programmes. We are looking for a young person to be creative, hardworking, keen to listen and learn and not be afraid to ask questions!

Creative Partnerships is the Government’s creative learning programme, designed to develop the skills of children and young people across England, raising their aspirations, achievements, skills and life chances. Delivery of the Creative Partnerships programme in Northumberland, Newcastle and Gateshead is managed by the North East Regional Museums Hub.

Application Deadline: Friday 13 August
Interviews for this opportunity will be held on Tuesday 26 August, venue TBC.
