Children's Panel
Children's Panel - Collective Minds
Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums (TWAM) is currently recruiting for its Children's Panel, and is looking for children aged 8 - 12 years old to help develop inspirational and creative activities across our museums and galleries.
The panel meets once a term, during the school holidays in different TWAM venues, to help develop great ideas to make museums as exciting as possible for young visitors. The panel is a great opportunity to meet new people and have fun!
TWAM currently delivers a programme of activities for children from fascinating exhibitions to explore, to holiday fun activities for 'hands-on' involvement. Children will work with TWAM's dedicated and experienced Learning team and freelance artists to develop ideas.
The next Collective Minds sessions will be:
Thursday 18 February 10.30am - 12.30pm
Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle
Tuesday 13 April 10.30am - 12.30pm
Monkwearmouth Station Museum, Sunderland.
If you child would like to be involved please click here to download a permission form, and return the completed form to the address below by Tuesday 16 February 2010.
Without a permission form we regret we will not be able to allow the child to join the panel.
If your child was a member of the original panel but is now aged 13 or over they can still be involved. We would like them to help us to develop the new children's panel.
