New Museums Blog

Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums is offering everyone a chance to get a glimpse behind the scenes with a new blog, just launched on the website.

The blog will feature a variety of different writers and subjects – from stories about the work of museum staff to stories about special objects and how to care for them, the blog offers an insight into the inner workings of one of Britain’s largest regional museums services.

Recently, the blog has explored the day to day life of Nicola Newton who is responsible for caring for the animals at the Great North Museum: Hancock, and told the story of the first Punch and Judy puppets in the Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums collection.
