Arlene Rankin by Jessica and Eleanor

Arlene designs graphics for the Museum. She designed and built the website you are looking at. She thinks the best thing about her job is receiving our work, she loves our drawings and likes reading our written work. It sometimes makes her laugh and it gives her new ideas for things to do with the Project. The worst thing about her job is sitting at her computer all day.

Favourite Artefact
Arlene loves all the sculptured stone work in the Museum. Her favourite is this little statuette of Hercules found at Vindolanda Roman fort, Northumberland. She thinks he looks very strong and wonders who he belonged to. Perhaps he was in a Roman garden or on a shelf in a house. She'd like one for her garden and would like to know what happened to the rest of his body?
