Mrs Catling handed out diamond trowels to people who needed them. Miss Adnett gave all of us a sticky label to write our names on because the helpers Mrs Catling, Sam, Katie, Neil, Clare, Tom and Glyn didn’t know our names.
There was four groups. Two went in the woods and two went in the field. My group went in the field. When we started digging it was really boring but we finally found something – a piece of glass.
When
Beth found the piece of glass it was the first thing we found. It was
a really long time till we found something. After Beth had found it we
were excited so we dug as hard as we could till we found something else.
The box that the glass was in blew over and we lost a little piece of glass. We found lots of coal and rocks. We found some canon balls.
