Primula Veris - Wild Primrose

Latin didn’t die out with the Romans. It was the language used by the Christian monks, British and Saxon, and later by the Church.
It was the language used in education and business and even today is used to name plants and animal species, for example, humans are homo sapiens – wise man; a wild primrose is primula veris - a true primula.
