The
whole school took part in a fantastic Roman day when Graham
Taylor a potter from Elsdon, Northumberland came to help
Jo Catling from the Museum.

|
 |
Graham
brought his home-made Roman potters wheel and showed the children
how the Romans made face pots. Everyone then had a go.

|
|
The
children made honey cake and Roman style bread.

In
the afternoon Parents and Governers came. Here are the children
helping them to make pots.
|
|
 |
Graham
took the childrens pots away to cook them in his kiln. Here are
the finished pots. |
This
is a Roman feast at our school. We made bread, honey cake and
some fish sauce. Some parents came and tried some of the food.

Ben,
Liam and myself were dressed in Roman clothes and Jo Catling
told everyone about the clothes.
