Feasting
The children wrote invitations and made laurel wreaths and brooches to wear for the occasion.
Some of them made Roman style sweetmeats from dates and almonds and they all tasted Roman delicacies including olives and spiced honey cake. The whole class dressed in Roman style costumes for the afternoon. There were gracious ladies and their slaves, soldiers and merchants.
