You will need: A small wooden picture frame. Bees wax Parcel tape An old saucepan A piece of 5mm dowel, the same length as a pencil. Pencil sharpener Sandpaper
Ask an adult to help you.
1. Take the glass out of the picture frame. Turn it over and cover the gap between the backing card and the frame with parcel tape.
2. Melt the bees wax in an old saucepan over a low heat.
3. Carefully pour a little wax into the frame. Tilt it to make sure that the card is covered.
4. When the wax has set, it only takes a minute or two, pour in more wax up to the level of the frame and leave it to cool completely.
5. Sharpen one end of the dowel into a point with the pencil sharpener. Smooth the other end with sandpaper.
