The census has been held every ten years since 1801. From 1841-1911 we can look in detail at Victorian and Edwardian families. The workshop starts with a focus on a family living in the slums of Castle Garth, Newcastle in 1881 before moving on to study households in your area.

Other Information: This session can be delivered in the Archives eduction room in the Discovery Museum or in your school.
