Local Skills – The Simple Design of Ships

KS2 - STEM, History, Local studies
A role play designed to enable children to research and investigate designing a ship in response to a written brief. By taking on the roles of marine engineers, naval architects and a health and safety officer they will make decisions on the design.

They will then present their designs to the class to judge if they will get the job!
This one and a half hour workshop can accomodate up to 32 children in year 5 & 6.
