First Encounters of the Museum Kind
Monday 5 September 2011 to Friday 20 July 2012
EYFS
The Mouse House is our young children’s gallery. We are developing and offering a new programme of sessions specifically created to excite and inspire young children and early years professionals working within foundation stage. Our new programme provides a resource to introduce our collections, supporting and enriching the E.Y.F.S. principles.
Each session will be full of interactive fun and can include exploration and play, stories, rhymes, songs and creative activities based around a theme.
A choice of five different topic areas can be covered:
Dinky Dinos - explore dinosaurs and fossils
Night Night, sleep tight, who’s about when it’s not light? - find out about the nocturnal animals that are awake when you’re asleep
Snakes Alive! - visit our snakes and find out about the greedy python
There Might be Giants… - Romans, feet, and giants!
Caterpillars Can’t Fly… - explore the caterpillar’s life cycle and butterflies
