Life in ancient Egypt can be complicated, but some people lived rather comfortably whilst others scraped a meagre existence living on whatever they could grow or gather. In this interactive session, students can discover what work and life was like in ancient Egypt through object handling and group work. Identify the mysterious objects the Pharaoh owned, find out who would be taught to read and write and what job they would have had, and discover what life was like as an ancient Egyptian farmer. This workshop lets students discover how people, both rich and poor, lived in the land of the Pharaohs.
