Taking the art of the ancient world as inspiration, this course will introduce you to the methods used by the artists in the ancient world to create their distinctive cultural style and composition: Egyptian, Assyrian, Minoan and Roman.
Using hunting scenes as examples you will be able to compare and contrast their techniques and explore them in your own way in your own work. The course is designed to support this exploration, develop ideas and progress painting skills.
Paper, brushes and acrylic paints will be provided, you are free to use your own materials to create your work if you would prefer.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
Sessions are every Tuesday, 10am - 12pm between 24 September and 22 October.
Suitable for all abilities!
Each session costs £4.70 per person.
