A new exhibition showcasing highlights from the Shipley’s 19th and 20th century British watercolour and drawing collection. 

Works include landscapes (featuring many well-known local scenes), portraits and still lifes by local and national artists including William Henry Hunt, Sir Hubert von Herkomer, George Horton and Norman Cornish.

The Shipley and Laing Art Gallery had great fun working with Welbeck Academy today. A fascinating schools workshop linked to WW1. Everyone enjoyed finding out more about Norman Wilkinson, optical illusions and designing our own Dazzle Ships.
