











Access Information for Shipley Art Gallery
Parking
There is free street parking outside the Gallery. There is one accessible parking bay directly outside the Gallery.
The nearest drop-off point by taxi, dial-a-ride or car is on Prince Consort Road directly outside the Gallery entrance.
Entrance
There are four steps or a 10 metre long ramp (with a 1 in 20 gradient) up to the main entrance. An automatic door at the top of the ramp or swing doors at the top of the steps lead into the reception and shop area.
Getting Around
There is level access around the ground floor of the Gallery.
Seating
There is a range of seating throughout the Gallery.
Borrowing a wheelchair
One wheelchair is available for use from the Gallery reception desk.
Large print labels
These are currently in progress.
Public telephone
The shop phone can be used on request for emergencies or to book taxis for disabled people. A minicom is available on request at the shop.
Dogs
We welcome assistance dogs. The shop can provide a bowl of water.
Gallery talks and tours
There are often talks to accompany exhibitions, which last between Forty five minutes to an hour. They may need to be booked in advance.
Fire alarms
The fire alarms only give an audible bell warning. If you are likely to be unable to hear the alarms or will need assistance to exit the building in the event of a fire alarm please tell a member of staff.
Toilets and baby changing
There are male toilets with an accessible toilet to the left of the shop and female toilets with an accessible toilet to the right of the shop. Both male and female toilets have baby changing areas.
