Our popular craft shop has been refreshed and now features a beautiful new range of gifts, whether you're looking for a special present or a stocking filler. The Shipley's new shop offers a selection of bespoke jewellery by local makers, ceramics and vintage-style items, including corsages and evening bags by designer Nancy Mac and glass vases by la Petite Maison.
Gateshead Art Society’s annual selling exhibition showcases a fascinating selection of artwork created by members of the Society over the past year. Shortlisted by the members themselves and curated by the Shipley, this exhibition showcases an array of paintings in a variety of styles, including many views of places in the North East.
Christmas Present features a range of unique items handmade by some of the country’s leading contemporary craft makers and designers, including jewellery, ceramics, metalwork and glass. To celebrate the exhibition’s 20th year, the featured artists have been specially selected by craft experts from across the UK, who have each nominated a maker they recognise as producing outstanding work.
