Shipley Lates: Get Crafting
Friday 27 August, 6-10pm
Inspired by our current exhibition Craftivism: Objects to Change the World we are championing the handmade during this evening of stitching and knitting, warps and wefts. Crafters and non-crafters welcome!
Knitting Salon
Artist-curator Trevor Pitt will be exhibiting The Knitting Salon, bringing together for the first time 8 benches knitted across the UK. The Salon will be a platform for sharing knitting skills, discussion and debate.
Trevor describes his practice as socially engaged and The Knitting Salon is an example of this, having been collaboratively knitted with locally sourced wool.
