This year, South Shields Museum & Art Gallery celebrates its 150th year. Join us for a year long celebration featuring some exciting new exhibitions and events as well as the return of some old favourites.
Help us celebrate our history and look forward to the next 150 years by supporting us today and making your own mark in our history!
Your donation will support inspirational learning and community programmes for children and families. This will enable us to broaden the range of high quality learning opportunities for children visiting the museum, as well as inspirational programmes for schools, families and community groups too.
We want everyone to join in and help us celebrate over the coming year.

If you are a UK taxpayer, please sign this Gift Aid declaration to make your donation worth more to us, at no extra cost to you. For every pound you donate, the Inland Revenue will give us an extra 28p.

The Make your Mark in History campaign is an ideal opportunity for you to demonstrate your support for your local museum and a perfect way to show your loved ones how special they are to you.
Here is an idea of how your donation can make a difference:
- £5 will support the purchase of materials required for craft activities with children and community groups
- £15 will support the development of new primary school workshops
- £25 will transport a community group to the museum and back
- £50 will support the development of interactive displays for our temporary exhibitions
Please note that there is a suggested minimum donation of £5 for this campaign.
If you make a donation between now and 19th February 2011, in recognition of your support, you will have the unique opportunity to have your name (or the name of one other person) permanently included on the walls of the museum.
