An exhibition by Arts 4 Wellbeing and Bede of Jarrow



When members of the two groups got together they discovered they had a shared interest in the past and in particular the history of South Tyneside.



Each person had their own area of interest, ranging from old cinemas in the region to the West Park in South Shields. While researching material for this exhibition the participants always concluded: Those were Happy Days!



This exhibition was created by Mavis Hudson, Julie White, Margaret Gunson, Barbra Hull, Moyra Marshall,  Derek Hutchison, Brian York, John Laws and Olwen Richardson.



Bede of Jarrow U3A (University of the Third Age) is a self-help organisation for people no longer in full-time employment and Arts for Wellbeing, an open access community arts studio in South Tyneside.
