True tales of tragedy, poverty and survival - the real life family stories of the people of the North East are the focus of this fascinating exhibition.
What’s Your Story? celebrates the family histories of people from Wearside and Tyneside and narrates the varied rags to riches journeys, love affairs and feats of courage.
Take Barbara Pollard, whose great-granddad chronicled the dramas of Washington F Pit and campaigned for better working conditions, or Gary Wilkinson whose ancestor rose from humble beginnings to become a Sunderland MP.
