Family Album
Saturday 12 July to Sunday 5 OctoberStunning portraits from the National Portrait Gallery provide the focus for this exploration of family life and relationships over the centuries, from Tudor times to the present day.
Events and Activities:
Monday 21 July
Nature Lodge: Mowbray Minibeasts
Join us for a minibeast hunt in the park and then have fun creating your own bug eyes. Meet at 1pm at museum reception. Drop in activity.
Wednesday 23 July
Teddy Bears' Picnic
Bring a picnic and your teddy for family fun beside the bandstand. This event is suitable for younger children and their families. Meet at the bandstand in Mowbray Park at 12. Drop in activity.
Thursday 24 July and Thursday 31 July
Inspired!
Work with an artist to create portraits inspired by the Family Album exhibition.
This activity is suitable for children over 12.
There is a £3 charge for materials.

Family Art Fridays
Bring in your own family photos to add to the biggest family album in the world!
Use a range of art materials to create your own artworks inspired by the exhibition.
Tuesday 29 July
Family Bowls
Learn to play lawn bowls with your family and friends. Meet at the Bowls Green in Mowbray Park. Drop in activity.
Wednesday 30 July
Terrific Textiles
Have a go at weaving, spinning, hooky rug making, braid making and knitting with the Shipley Weavers. Museum learning rooms. Drop in activity.
