Gift Aid it - make your donation worth more

When you make a donation to Tyne & Wear Museums, please remember to Gift Aid it. By saying yes to Gift Aid, we can reclaim an extra 28p from every £1 you give. This means that a £10 Gift Aid donation increases in value to £12.80. Imagine what a difference that could make to the service we are able to provide, and it doesn't cost you a penny more.

If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can also reclaim as much as £23 from the taxman for every £100 donated to charity, by including details of your Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment form.

So, if you are a higher rate taxpayer and you make a single donation of £100, we receive £128 and you can reclaim £23, reducing the real cost to you. A gift of £500 would be worth £641 to us and you are eligible to reclaim £115. So the actual cost to you is therefore £385.
