We are open at weekends from 30 March until 27 October. We're also open on Good Friday (29 March) and during school holidays.

Our opening hours are always 11am - 4pm.

Admission to the museum is free.

How to get to Stephenson Railway Museum

By Public Transport
The nearest Metro station is Percy Main which is one and a half miles away from the museum. If travelling from Percy Main, please take the number R19 bus. If travelling from Wallsend, please take the number 80 bus.

By Car
The museum is well signposted from the A19/A1058 junction and is behind the Silverlink Retail Park, adjacent to the Blyth & Tyne cycle route.
There is free parking at the museum.
